Coloring Contest

Age groups:

• 5 & Under
• 6-7 years old
• 8-10 years old

Please bring your completed page to the Old School House on the Rice County Fairgrounds during the Fair: Tues, 5–8 p.m.; Wednesday–Friday 1–8 p.m. Winners will be posted by noon Sunday at the School House. Prizes / Ribbons will be awarded. Please, just one entry per child. Need not be present to win.

Chocolate Classic

• Enter a dessert, cookies, brownies, or bars in two different divisions – Adult or Youth. We will give out over $100.00 in cash prize money for the top finishers in this contest.
• This will be held opening night at the Sellner stage.

Kids Pedal Tractor Pull

• Wednesday night starting at 6:30 p.m. in front of the 4-H building, Kids of all ages are welcomed to participate in the fun family event.  Trophies and Ribbons awarded to winners.

• This event is sponsored by LaCanne’s Marine of Faribault, and is scheduled to start at noon on Sunday, the last day of the fair. Three divisions of amateur talent will be held on the Sellner Stage.

Chili Contest

• Do you have the best chili in the county? If so, or you want to find out, bring your chili to the fair and enter it. Just make a pot off your favorite chili, put it in a crock pot (at least 2 quarts of chili) and bring it to the fair along with a ladle to serve with.
• Cash prizes: 1st $50 – 2nd $15 – 3rd $ $10
• Want to be the Judge? $2.00/ticket.
• This event is sponsored by Kline Distributing and will have $50.00 in total prize money.
• The event will be held in the Beer Garden.
• Everyone who pays $2.00 has the privilege of being the judge, and being able to sample all the different entries.
