Volunteer at the fair!
Volunteers are the heart of the Rice County Fair and many are needed to help keep the fair running effortlessly. We invite you to check back periodically for a list of volunteering opportunities during the Rice County Fair as well as throughout the year.
In the days leading up to the fair, volunteers are needed to:
Paint and maintain buildings and grounds.
Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks.
Assist in creative projects.
Assist with sponsorship and advertising committees
And a litany of various other projects as assigned.
Work nights will be every Wednesday evening from June 1st through July 4th. After July 4th work nights continue nearly every evening up until the day of the fair. We typically work from the time we get off of our day jobs until either it becomes to dark or the mosquitoes tell us its time to quit.
Once the fair has begun we will need volunteers for the following:
Staff the fair entrance
Assist in the fair office
Work in the grandstand
Assist the erecting exhibits
And varied other projects (both large and small) as assigned.
